Research Interests: I am broadly interested in understanding the genetic, evolutionary, and demographic processes that enable plants to become invasive in a novel geographic region. I use molecular systematic and population genetic tools to study invasive success in plants of horticultural origin. For my dissertation research, I am studying the origins, genetic relationships, and mechanisms of invasive spread of non-native broom species in California and Chile.
