Botanic Garden Weed Removal with Bill Neil September 17th, 2009
Under the direction of local weed control specialist, Bill Neil; Lynn, Sarah and myself set out to the Botanic Garden at UC Riverside to help Theresa Arial, the garden manager, with her weed control efforts. Bill provided direction and educated us on the proper use of herbicides for species such as the Tree of Heaven. What was small enough to pull, the ladies pulled and anything bigger than that Bill took care of with his trusty spray bottle. In just a couple hours, we cleared several locations of woody invasive species. Thanks Bill!
